پیش هنگامی که به user room های یاهو مسنجر سری می زدید room های زیادی را مشاهده می کردید که توسط خود کاربران با نام هایی مانند ( تهرانی ها – شاهرودی ها – پسر ها – دختر ها و …… ) ساخته شده بود و افراد زیادی هم به این روم ها وارد می شدند . تفاوت user room با yahoo room در این بود که user room ها توسط خود کاربران با اسم های متفاوت ساخته می شد به گونه ای که اگر شما تهرانی بودید با ورود به user room ( تهرانی ها ) به راحتی می توانستید همشهریان خود را در درون این دنیای مجازی پیدا کنید . اما شرکت یاهو بنا به دلایل و شکایت های خصوصی که از این شرکت شده بود مجبور به بستن و block کردن تمام این user room
